My updates have been few and far between, but here I am anyhow. I just got off work from job #1, and am grateful I have the rest of the day to relax.
The gig at Whole Foods is going really well. I have just been voted onto my team, so I am officially a pastry chef there after training for about a month. Jen (the other pastry chef) and I have had the pleasure of playing around with our own recipes. Last week some petit fours we came up with were approved for sale, and are now currently in the cake case. That may not mean much for some of you, but it's so exciting! :-)
Other than that, I've just been working my butt off- about 60 hours a week- and am starting to get caught up on all my bills (mostly that year I went to school when I fell into a lot of debt). Hopefully Jeremy and I can move into a new apartment in the next few months. We're playing around with idea of going back to the City, or maybe even the whole Vegas thing; which I have thought of doing last year. We'll see...
About a month ago I found a red-eared slider in front of someone's house. His previous "owners" had left him out in front of their house, because according to the person who answered the door, didn't want him anymore. I couldn't just leave the poor thing there, so I took him home and have since gotten him a nice little set-up. I am a cat person, and have no clue how to take care of a turtle- and a baby turtle at that- but so far we have been managing. We've read a lot online, in books, and have gone to a few pet stores to get some info. We named him Franklin, and he is the cutest little thing.
So tomorrow I am going to be 25, and some friends from work and I are going to Dave and Buster's in Milpitas to celebrate. Although I haven't seen anyone in ages, and Milpitas is pretty far from where most people live, I still want to mention that anyone is welcome to come and hang out in celebration of me turning another year older. We're going to congregate around 7:00 for dinner, and I expect to be there for a while.
I hope everyone is doing well out there!

Which Whole Foods are you at? And congrats! It's nice to see such hard work getting recognition and sales. :)
Go to Meat tonight if you don't have to work tomorrow!
